WOW! My 10 year old daughter and I went downtown L.A. today to do a bit of shopping and our hearts went out to those we encountered. How could the riches nation on earth have so many people living on the streets. I had to wonder about the statistics - how many were mentally ill, addicted to drugs, or down on their luck? All I know is the sight of so many men, women, and children living on the streets, in tents, moved my spirit.
There are many organizations dedicated to helping the homeless,, I even saw a L.A. County Mental Health clinic on 6th street and Los Angeles. I don't have all the answers to the if's, and why's, but Agape Community Care will do something to help!
